There is a patch for nsrjobsd for 7.4.3 under LGTsc20094 - not sure
whether you are seeing this issue or not - this has supposedly been
rolled into the 7.4.4 code but it sounds like there are lots of other
issues with the jobsdb 

As for your slow startup and bootstrap, have a look at your daemon.log
(or daemon.raw file if you aren't generating the log file) when you are
starting networker, depending on if networker shuts down cleanly it may
be performing some checks on the media database or indexes, it might be
worth your while running some checks over the media DB and indexes ...
running nsrck -m (only outputs to the daemon log file, and you might
need to run it multiple time) and a nsrim -X might be worth your while
running, and as someone has said previously if you have a tape library
it might be taking time to initialize again have a look at your
daemon.log file and see if you can see something like this

I've noticed that you cant do much with Networker until the jukebox is
ready ...

We are seeing some of these problems as well. We are Windows 2003 
NetWorker 7.4.3.  I have two open severity 1 cases with EMC on these 
issues. They have been open for some time and I'm still waiting to get a

fix. Our two biggest problems are the bootstrap job taking 15+ minutes
to 
run and the other issue is if we reboot or re-start NetWorker it takes
the 
NMC 15+ minutes for the Monitoring screen to populate. We have a little 
over 200+ clients.

Our any of you seeing these issues. Long bootstrap runs and NMC not 
showing the monitor data after a cycle of NetWorker for a long time. 

I'm almost 100% positive its the jobsdb casuing the issues.
