As far as I know it's not possible to let application module backup use
directives, and thus you can't skip specific database instances on an SQL
server when running nsrsqlsv backup e.g.
Directives only work for filesystem backups and it's good practice to skip the
data folder containing the hot files (*.mdf *.ldf) for the database in each
case.

Hello,
just create .nsr (or nsr.dir for windows) files in the client directories where
you want to perform operations.
Then fill these files with directives (as you make for the server) in order to
exclude some files.
+skip :
pubs*.*
