One thing I'll point out here is that in various cases over the last
few years I've had several EMC support staff (both front line and
PSEs) insist that the order in which you scan in spanned savesets _is_
important - i.e., you must scan from start to finish. Certainly my
experience under say, v5 and v6 of NetWorker was that it didn't matter
- you could just scan in the spanning saveset in any volume order and
it would stitch them all together. However, I have had a few support
issues in the last 3-4 years that have been resolved by dumping a
previously scanned saveset from the media database and then rescanning
in a meticulously correct order.
