Disable vss and see how it responds. Have you checked the applogs and the daemon.raw?

Hi there everybody, and happy new years

I am having trouble with the networker module for exchange and vss !
Everytime I kick off a backup, either through the module or a filesystem
backup, VSS kicks into action and messes everything up, I have tried
disableing the exchange writer vss but I can still vss events in the event
log. and after 120 minutes the backup fails.
My next step would be to disable vss for exchange altogether, since the
VSS and networker module both cleans up the trans log files and
everything.

I am in fact having the same issues with MSSQL server backups, but thats
another story.

I have been looking for some advice on the emc site, best practice guide, exchange module admin guide, but nothing really about how to handle the
vss in windows 2003!
I could of cause reley totally on vss ......

Anybody got any experience with exchange backup and vss ?
