Re: [Networker] Backup Groups Hanging

Hello,
Please note the output of nsrjb, tapes & inquire cmd, check the tape
numbers in registry and reboot the server and redo the cmd to see any
thing changed,i.e drive order, do you have the drives FC attached ? have
you enabled persistent binding on the Tape lib & also on windows server ?
Since you only have two drives, it may just be easy to mount couple of
tapes in them and do unmount cmd from networker nsrjb -f \\.\Tape0 for
example ( or use GUI) & see which tape drive is actually getting
unmounted, if it's not the one you just issued the cmd for them you have
drive mismatch. ( mt cmd can also be used for drive verification). All
backup activity should be stopped first.
You can user nsrjb cmd to reconfigure the tape lib or use GUI to
reconfigure, remember to note down your jukebox values if you have
changed, i.e timers & pools etc before you delete the tape lib ( i would
try rebooting backup server first)

Backup Groups Hanging
Hi Paul,
Thanks for that. The fact that the drives keep changing to not write
enabled are a good indication of this. Can you remind me of the networker
commands I need to run from the CMD prompt to delete and re-create the
jukebox?
Thanks.
