I have already rebooted the tape library on Friday, as well as restarting all 
the EMC and Legato services on that box.  I haven't rebooted the box though.

Regarding the hardware the two tape drives are new - about 1 and 2 months old.  
The tapes themselves are known to be older though and I have replacements 
available.

Is there anything else I can check?
