Try this out:
Use the following procedure if the file is not browsable (not in the client
file index), but its save set is still in the NetWorker media index.
At the system prompt, enter the mminfo command:
mminfo -a -v volume_name
>From the mminfo output, find the save set ID that contains the file you want.
>Make sure it is not the bootstrap save set ID.
Once you have the proper save set ID, use the scanner command to replace the
save set entry in the client file index:
scanner -i -S save_set_id device_name
where:
save_set_id is the save set ID you obtained from the mminfo command.
device_name is:
/dev/nsrst9 for SunOSTM
/dev/rmt/0mbn for SolarisTM
/dev/rmt1.1 for RS/6000®
/dev/NrStp0 for SCO
Make certain that if the save set in question spanned over a tape boundary that
all tapes are read from by the scanner command, or the online file index will
not become fully rebuilt. This will prevent you from performing an online
recovery of the files needed from this save set.
Now use the recover command to mark the file for recovery.
