My tool is just a complex serie of nsradmin and mminfo calls that can be
issued from
any client, storage node or server. Data is parsed and html pages are
generated, including
lot of history graphs and trends.

It runs on 6 different op sys and generates same html and java-based html
reports.

>Are you using this strictly from command line or can you make it accessible
from a web server?

HTML Pages are static and rebuild at each reporter run. You can anyway
export generated reports
by apache or IIS to make them available on your intranet. All reports are
accessible from
a tree structure. Export BIN and DATA folders by your favorite web server
and start
using it.

>Is it possible to delegate access to this tool? E.g. will everybody be able
to query about any client?

all data are readonly. So, anybody who view the pages cannot modify
networker configuration.

kick start guide for dummies?

?? Really, never had such a comment since I share it....
Please review doc folder, some help pages to start from.
Should you need more assistance, drop me a mail.

Hope that helps,

Thierry (aka the author :-D )

How are you implementing the networker reporter
(http://users.skynet.be/networker_reporter) ?

Are you using this strictly from command line or can you make it accessible
from a web server?

Is it possible to delegate access to this tool? E.g. will everybody be able
to query about any client?

I'm finding it hard to start using this utility. Can anyone throw me some
kick start guide for dummies?

Looks nice!

There's one minor issue with the included gnuplot binary under Linux tho:

----------------------------<SNIP>----------------------------
# ldd bin/linux/gnuplot
linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xffffe000)
libreadline.so.4 => not found
libncurses.so.5 => /lib/libncurses.so.5 (0xb7eef000)
libgd.so.1.8 => not found
libpng.so.2 => not found
libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0xb7edb000)
libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/libm.so.6 (0xb7eb6000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7d83000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib/tls/libdl.so.2 (0xb7d7f000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7f38000)
----------------------------<SNIP>----------------------------

It's dynamically linked against older versions of GD and libreadline.
Recent Linux systems (at least the ones I'm running here) come with newer
versions of those libraries, which are not 100% compatible to the gnuplot
version from your package.

I'd recommend bundling a static version of gnuplot with the reporting tool
instead. The one from http://jean-luc.aei.mpg.de/Codes/gnuplot/
seems to work nicely with your tool.

Anyway, thanks again for sharing your tool!
