would just like to ask help on the installation I am doing for an end user. I
installed networker client and nmo on an oracle server. The first server I
installed with and configured RMAN script through networker configuration
wizard went through smoothly. That is a oracle development server. When I tried
installing on an oracle production server through networker configuration
wizard, the first error was:
ora-01406: fetched column value was truncated
Since I cant move on and i cant adjust the column width of hundreds of table on
the database, I tried copying the rman script and nsrnmo.bat on the successful
installation and copied it on this oracle server. All necessary information are
checked. Upon running a manual backup this is the error I got:

Hi,
you should have a "backup command" configured in your client. The
"backup command" is a script (on windows nsrnmo.bat or someting like
this). In the batch file there is a line like this:
SET NSR_RMAN_ARGUMENTS="nocatalog msglog 'C:\Program
Files\Legato\nsr\applogs\rman_log.log' append"
The file "C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\applogs\rman_log.log"
contains the whole rman output which is needed for solving this
problem. Empty the file, start the backup and send us the file
for further debugging.
