I haven't read the doc enough to be certain, but I don't think even 7.4sp3 will work with JRE 1.6.

On my mac (running Leopard and the 12.2.0 Java from Apple) the 7.3.3 NMC client works just fine.

I would therefore expect that if you downgrade from 1.5.0_16 to 1.5.0_15 you'll be fine.

Of course we clear the cache and get the same thing. Anybody else having this problem? Is there a solution other than going to a different version of JRE? I have a case open with EMC, but this will probably drag on for weeks/months ...

Java 5 should work with the NMC from NetWorker 7.3.3. Java 6 won't, as you have discovered.

Later versions of NetWorker will work with Java 6, I think 7.4.2 is probably the first version to work with Java 6, although it could be 7.4.3.
