Hello,
If you have not been regular admin for Networker, i urge you to get
familiar with networker install\admin\DR procedures, no matter how simple
the upgrade is, knowing what platform\hardware will also go a long way in
helping you understand the process.
Document current setup ( there are several easy scripts that can do that
for you-ask for them ), take backup of existing server & have them
available during upgrade, check through previous posts and upgrade
questions to get a idea on the process.
Make sure you have no licensing concerns, as 7.4 has a few ( check the
release note for explanation), you may need to apply certain enamelers
before you get started with the upgrade and verify after the upgrade that
they are functional and not expiring.
Take a note on your Library's\devices\partition setting so that you can
re-configure them the way there are if some info is lost.
Get and store output of nsrlic, nsrsup etc for future reference.
Hopefully, previous admin may have documented some procedures, it seems
odd that the sys admin is asking you the new guy to do it all.
Let me know if you need additional help.

Subject
upgrade from 7.3.2 to 7.4
My system admin wants me to upgrade our Networker to the latest version
and I won't BS anyone. I am scared to death to do it. Is there anyone out
there willing to help or point me in the right direction so that I am not
eventually told to get a box and clean out my desk.
