NO! This is not library sharing. Library sharing is not the same as partitioning a physical library into virtual libraries. Library sharing is what you described in the first part of your posting, or more accurately described by the previous respondent.

Library sharing does not necessarily require a SAN connection, it will work equally well with SCSI attached drives. By comparison, DDS almost always does require SAN attached drives.
