In regard to: [Networker] Remove Volume Labels for Auto Media Mgmt,...:

I just inserted some old tapes into my library that were already
labeled. They are not in the media index. The Jukebox is setup to use
the barcode as volume labels. I also have auto media management
installed. However, because there are volume lables the auto media
management does not work. I do not want to go through and manually
assign these tapes to pools... I rather use the auto media management
function. I have looked through every guide I have on NetWorker for a
command to delete the volume label. Does anyone know how this can be
accomplished?

Sure, just overwrite it with dd or any other command that's capable of
writing a bunch of 0s to a device file.
