I use 7.4.2, and we always usd "nststarge -C -V volumeName", and never 
nsrim -X. We do this via daily scripts (after cloning is done). We never

do "nsrim -X". These scripts were written for us by EMC, when they 
installed NW back in 7.3 days (early 2007).

That's probably fine for your setup because you wait until the backups
are finished - but using nsrstage always had the annoying behaviour of
refusing to cleanup when there were any write sessions happening whilst
nsrim can do it, and it can check all your adv_file volumes at once, and
does it in the background....    I'm not sure how it works in 7.3+
versions.
