Hello,
In a way, we are responsible for build, upkeep and troubleshoot,
monitoring of this servers any way, i would worry about the impact of
stray recoveries that don't get cleaned up or worse people overwriting
production data without adequate knowledge of Networker recoveries & there
is also concern about securing the data, therefore, we are completely
responsible for all recoveries, someday, i would like helpdesk to do
directed recoveries, however, ongoing training for personal could be more
challenging if the staffing fluctuates.
Thanks

You do restores for systems that you don't manage? Interesting. What
we do here is require each system manager to know how to restore data
and we encourage them to test restores at least quarterly.
