Storage nodes must be at the exact same level of code as the NW server.
No exceptions that I know of.

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem before, or has
some experience with it. We still haven't upgraded to 7.4 (or 7.3) on
our Networker server, and I'm trying to install 7.3 on a dedicated
storage node. It lets me define all of the drives, and it tries to
load a tape, but eventually fails. No error message other than the
generic

08/05/08 15:52:48 nsrd: media warning: rd=storagenode1:\\.\Tape2
reading: read open error: drive status is The tape drive is ready for
use

Does anyone know if you can have a 7.3 Storage node with a 7.2.2 backup
server?

I can't do a 7.2.2 storage node because the machine is 2003 64 bit. The
only version that will run on it is 7.3.

TIA,
