We just upgraded our Networker server from 7.2.2 to 7.4.2sp2 yesterday.
The upgrade went fairly smooth, with the only exception of being unable
to get into the new NMC, which was quickly resolved by EMC support in a
few minutes (had to kill some dbserver processes & restart the GST
service?). We have approximately 100 clients, the nsrck -L6 I ran prior
to the upgrade took forever to complete (>7 hours).

I like the new NMC console very much - great improvement over previous
versions, although it's a tad bit slower...

I had an mminfo query embedded in a shell script that no longer seems to
function following the upgrade. I need to find volumes just ejected from
the library which have blank locations. The query that used to work was:

mminfo -a -s ServerName -r
"volume,location,volaccess(15),volretent,pool" -q location=""

I can change the location to the library name and it does return all
volumes with location = 'Library Name' or any other non-blank valid
string, but how do I get the volumes with blank locations ???

Regards,

Paul
