One of the SA here has a Mac Xserver backing up to my NetWorker 7.4.1
Solaris server. We had to configure this particular client with an
explicit list of savesets in order to back up a Snap server that's
always mounted. According to mminfo, the backups of this Snap server
via this Mac client are working fine. The problem is that whenever he
issue's the recover command, a message pops up that says the Snap
server's IP address is not on the list of authorized servers. I added
the IP address (and its actual DNS name) to the client's aliases list,
but that didn't fix the problem.
The specific error message looks like ...
recover: Cannot start session with server bootz: client
`xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' is not properly configured on the NetWorker Server
or `xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' is not in the aliases list for client
`mac_client.temple.edu'
How can I fix this problem? I would like to avoid setting up that IP
address as a NetWorker client, but I will if that's my only option.
