In the general case, you do not need to scan a tape unless NetWorker hasremoved it from the mediadb.

If the EDL was taking care of the cloning instead of NetWorker -- thenthe physical tape would have likely been labeled with the same name thatNetWorker knew the virtual tape as -- If you have had to tell NetWorkerthat you deleted that tape, then you now will have to scan this one (andhopefully you don't have a tape of the same name already in NetWorker)before you can recover any data from it.
