yes, Curtis, I can confirm that reporting changed

our third party reporting tool (Profiler) can work with 7.4 but all our
home made scripts based on the savegroup report broke

it has to do with EMC's introduction of localization

I haven't had a chance to look at 7.4 yet, but I'm hearing lots of
rumors that the usual commands/sources (e.g. the daemon.log) that one
would use to do your own reporting are either gone or significantly
changed in 7.4.  (I've heard, for example, tape drive info no longer
goes there, but I haven't confirmed anything.) 

 

Can anyone confirm/deny?  

 

Is anyone doing their own reporting using the command line?  If so, how
have things changed in 7.4?

 

(Note: I don't want a GUI answer.  I want scripts!  Give me scripts!)
