Whenever it copies data to tape, it will be "reduped."

Subject: [Networker] Networker DL3D 3000 dedupe restores

Hello,
I am looking at the DL3D 3000 from EMC with the De dupe and a having a hard
time finding anything about DR recovery's, I am looking at D-D-T with re
tensions up to 10years on some stuff. I have a couple questions
1. from D-T does it clone in the de dupe state? if not how and where does it
build the Tape set?
2. to rebuild a failed server, is there a preformance hit if the Data is
already on tape? do you have to restore to the DL3D 3000
and then back to the server?

if anyone is using this device already would love to hear about how it is going
