Hi,
I will assume that the "idle device timeout" value is at the default of
0. You can check that by setting diagnostic mode in the view menu of
NMC, then open the properties of the jukebox, and select the Timers tab.
A value of 0 means that networker should never unload an idle device and
it will quite stubbornly leave tapes in drives forever demanding that
writable tapes be mounted.
I have developed a habit of always updating that value to 10 (minutes).
