Stan, have you tried the 5.1 version of the Exchange module? We are using it for our Exchange cluster with 7.4PSP1 with no issues. Also, what version of the legato client are you running on the exchange server?

A couple of things to try:

1) Running the isinteg to check to see if there is corruption in the storage group 2) Creating more storage groups and more public stores and separating mailboxes out by logical grouping. This fixes two problems. One, it will lock a store less because it's smaller. Also, if there is any corruption, it's easier to isolate it to a particular store. 3) What anti-virus software are you running? I've seen some older anti-virus software create problems locking files that cause issues with backups and exchange. Symantec for example, used to have to manual tell it not to scan certain directories. Newer versions are more exchange aware by default.

Matthew;

I will forward your comments to the guy who administers this Exchange server so he can respond. I don't know much about it, but I do no, its just one storage group and the a/v software is the current version of Symantec for which we have a sight license.
