Hi Stan,
I see you are mailing at an 'external' address (@temple.edu) - did
you try
changing that to a normal system user (like root, or stan for
example -
just watch out not to use a .forward'ed or aliased account)?
As you are receving the bootstrap reports, it *could* be possible
that an
overactive spam filter is eating your mail (of course, there may be
other
problems but this one looks just too familiar...)
Thanks for your comments. I did a search yesterday of the PowerLink
issues tracker and I found several hits for this problem.
Unfortunately, none of those hits offered up a solution that works.
Before I went home last night, I replaced the savegroup notification's
action with a call to a script that writes the date and other info to
a log file. That script was never invoked last night.
I guess the only solution is to restart the NetWorker daemons.
Unfortunately, doing that is difficult for me because my backup server
runs backups 24x7 so its something I do only once a month, and I just
rebooted last week.
