Thanks, but I don't think sendmail is at fault here because it can send messages from the root account to the same addresses that the notifications are set to from within NetWorker.

As an example, my NetWorker server has the following notification set up in the NetWorker Management Console

Name             Event            Priority               Action
Savegroup Savegroup Alert,Notice /usr/bin/ mailx -s "Savegroup completion report" stan AT temple DOT edu

This was working fine until Friday, but not now. I have no clue why.

I can log on and get a command prompt, su - root, then use mailx to send a message and it works fine. Further, but daily Bootstrap report is configured with the same mailx command and it is still working fine.
