Fazil,

In Networker scheduled backups are done by Group, not Client. In the
group resource there are the Last Start and Last End fields that tell
you when the last backup of that Group occurred. To bring it to the
Client level you could do some mash up of the Clients in that Group with
that information. You would have to keep some history to determine when
Clients were added or removed from a Group to make sure the Group
information would apply to a particular Client for a particular day but
it's possible to do.

The query would look something like this (on Solaris):

$> echo "show last end
print type: nsr group;
name: backup_all" | nsradmin -s nsrserver -i -
                    last end: "Wed Dec 19 01:15:31 2007";

Subject: [Networker] Client Operations and Notification

Hello,
I wonder what options exist to notify backup admins on daily bases via
email when and if a client's scheduled backup is turned off.
I can query the NMC gui & can produce the list of client, group and
scheduled backups via nsradmin script, however, i would rather have an
email sent daily.
here is current query.
. type nsr client
show name;group;Scheduled backup
print nsr client

I can use an input file to do the same and generate an output to an
file,
i checked notification and did not find any thing suitable to configure.
On windows server, i have experimented with smtpmail to send
notification,
does any one have an established procedure ?
Thanks
