Hello,
In addition to my previous post, i did research and found two other cmds
that would help test SAN connectivity, depending on your switch vendor &
Model you might be able to use the following cmds.
fctrace & fcping ( Please make sure you are familiar with FC switch cmds
and it's use, test before use)
Since my FC knowledge is limited, there may be other ways to verify SAN
connectivity ( port lights, port status etc).

FCTRACE:
The fctrace feature allows you to:
• Trace the route followed by data traffic.
• Compute inter-switch (hop-to-hop) latency.
You can invoke fctrace by providing the FC ID, the N port, or the NL port
WWN, or the device alias of
the destination. The frames are routed normally as long as they are
forwarded through TE ports.

The fcping Feature
The fcping feature verifies reachability of a node by checking its
end-to-end connectivity. You can
invoke the fcping feature by providing the FC ID, the destination port
WWN, or the device alias
information.
