Title: rawasm directive not working as expected
Synopsis: rawasm directive not working as expected
  Category: networker
  Subcategory: client
  Description:

Trying to back up a raw dataset using the rawasm directive on a cluster 3.0
global filesystem fails.

I'm trying to back up the following path:

        /dev/vx/rdsk/andydg/vol01

  Using the following directive:<< /dev/vx/rdsk/andydg >>
            +rawasm : *
Which fails to back up the raw dataset and only backs up the link (i.e link
is not followed):

root: --- Successful Save Sets ---
  root:
  root: vha-880c: /dev/vx/rdsk/andydg/vol01 level=full, 8 KB 00:00:00
9 files
  root: vha-880c: index:vha-880c level=full, 13 KB 00:00:01
5 files
  root: vha-880c: bootstrap level=full, 26 KB 00:00:01
7 files
  root:

  Now if I change the directive to:<< / >>
            +rawasm : *
  the backup works:

root: --- Successful Save Sets ---
  root:
  root: vha-880c: /dev/vx/rdsk/andydg/vol01 level=full, 1048 MB 00:01:03
9 files
  root: vha-880c: index:vha-880c level=full, 17 KB 00:00:00
6 files
  root: vha-880c: bootstrap level=full, 28 KB 00:00:02
7 files
  root:

Either directive should cause the link to be followed and the data backed up.

  Having to use the directive:<< / >>
            +rawasm : *

means that all paths in the saveset are affected by the rawasm directive.

    Date Modified:

  Work Around:

  Use the directive:<< / >>
            +rawasm : *

but this means that all paths in the saveset are affected by the rawasm
directive. As such is only a patial work around

  Integrated in Build: 7.1
