Don't know the answer to that, however, you can direct NDMP backups to non NDMP devices over the network, or else you would need to be licensed for NDMP Tape server and this solution should require locally attached NDMP devices.

Thanks. I know I can direct NDMP backups to non-NDMP devices; however, for testing purposes, I need to try backing up to a device that is specifically allocated for NDMP use.
