Sure.  Very old clients do that, to get around the size limitation of a
signed 32 bit quantity.  Any NetWorker client that's based on the 4.x
client codebase will do that.  The NetWare client (with the exception of
the 7.2.x clients) is a prime example of a client that does that.

I am attempting to restore files
from this backup but the restore will not run due to a continued SSID.
Does anyone know of a solution?

What makes you say that it won't run due to that?

BTW, what version of the server software are you running?  You're not
using 7.1.1 or 7.1.2, are you?  Also, what's the client platform and
NetWorker client version involved?
