And the reason that HOSTA cannot be backed up by the Networker Server is
???? 

Your only solution here is to do a save-set restore and relocate the
destination so it writes the data out to a different location on a local
drive, then copy/move the desired files/folders back to the original
locations....

thank you paul.
the problem is, that host a is frontendserver and cannot be backuped by
the networker server.
host b  is in the backend and can access the share from host a in the
frontend. the networker server should backup the share on host b.

for shares like \\hosta\share1 on host b recover works.
maybe the problem occurs because of the hidden share like
\\hosta\inetpub$ ??
