Hello,
What version of Networker are you running, i believe that there was a bug 
related to what you are seeing in versions prior to 7.3.3.Having said 
that, i don't think it's fully resolved yet as i am on 7.3.3 & still see 
odd Auto media behavior, besides keep trying to use the write protected 
tape,i have seen networker keep asking for a tape in a pool which has 
recycle to and from enabled and even tapes present in the library.
There could be additional reasons that others  may have experienced and 
can elaborate on it.
