Good information, i also do not exclude any thing when backing up filers ( 
FAS 3050C ), we backup the CIFS shares individually.
The only options i specify are as below.
HIST=y
UPDATE=y
DIRECT=y
EXTRACT_ACL=y
UTF8=y
The backup cmd used is 
nsrndmp_save -T dump.
