Using a hub/switch in way of cross cable will not
cause the card of the second node to go offline the time the
first node to come back and I am pretty sure you will not
have the problem afterwards.

BTW, how are other clients comminicating to the backup server ?

Subject: [Networker] backup & Storage node restart

Dear All,

in one of my client installations
I have my networker backup storage server running linux, connexted to
the
storage (also linux) node via a cross-over cable.

the problem is whenever we need to do a restart of either of the two
servers, we must restart the other server otherwise they wont
communicate.
(NB. i am running Version: NetWorker 7.3.2.Build.364 Network
Edition/100)

the most interesting thing is that in this client installation whenever
we
have problems with the backups the only thing that works is if we
restart. i
am trying to find out why.
hence we restart the servers. and this happens often, twice in a month
etc.

Regards
Elvis
