How is access setup in the database? AD or SQL Server based? We run the
sql back as the same user the sql server and sql agent are set in as the
"logon as" in the service.

You might try to uninstall and install the legato sql client. It reset
some of the perms. Also, anything interesting in the local nsr\applogs
files on the sql server?

In this case, yes, the AD group "Domain Admins" is explicitly listed as
being a member of the local group "Administrators", yes. No access
rights
for the domain account have changed, AFAICT. The job just stopped
working.
:-) I thought originally it was because some of my licenses had
inadvertently expired, but I have already resolved that problem (see a
prior posting from 2007-09-27 about that). So I am unclear as to why it
can't access the backup resources it needs (I think that's what this
error
is telling me).
