A few questions for you guys:
What scheduler are you using with networker?
We have used KICKs, but "upgraded" to AUTOSYS.
Drama discovered while upgrading... JAVA-drama....
EMC Networker recommends 1_4_2, but is certified upto v1_5_11, but oh by the
way the newest version is 1_6_12.
Oh and by the way, Autosys does NOT work with the newest version of Java.
And oh by the way, they are called 1_4_2 but the actual version is 1.40.12
hello, what whack job @ SUN is coming up with these version naming schemes?
/shrug
Anyway we have thousands of clients and using windows NMC interface, I am lucky
if I am not forced to reboot my PC 2-5 times a day (depends on my patience)...
The java app is eating up ram (must be a mem-leak) a one point the java app was
near 1GB in mem-hog size... I have found I just can not sit in the applet all
day, have to close when I done and reopen when I need to use it, of course each
time you open the app it can take 3-10 minutes to open.
My desktop? -- P4/3.0ghz w/1GB ram and GigE NIC.
What I "think" is going on is when the java app blows up to over 400mb in size,
that the rest of the apps running are eating up more memory than I have in
physical memory. Currently I am letting windows manage the swap file, but
everytime I use enough memory to where I can imagine the swap file has to be
made bigger by system... the computer locks up.
Is 64 Windows XP or Vista-64 the answer?
