Keep up the good work! This list has been extremely valuable for us at LLNL. I have been a member for years!! This list gave me answers that took Legato weeks or even never to solve!! I posted the "BAD MAIL" for your information, not in anger ... (No, I never clicked on any of the links!!!! :) )

I'm really sorry for this spam. I wrote a very strong screening process
for first-time posters. Unfortunately, I was tired and he/she replied
to another message, giving their post a valid-looking subject. I was
sleepy, saw the subject line, and approved it without looking at the
body. I won't make that mistake again.

The user has been blocked and won't be posting again. I also promised
Stan that I won't approve messages based on just their subject line any
more.

For anyone that's not sure why we're doing this: the cross-posting
between the forum and the mailing list has been going fine for months
without incident or spam. In addition to providing a very nice way to
search and display the archives (try it out, it's really nice), the
forum interface has brought a number of new users to the list. These
users have posted many, many answers to other people's questions. I'd
say that overall backupcentral.com has brought quite a bit of good to
the list.

I apologize for the convenience.

Because the backupcentral.com forum seems to post to the list as well.
