John,

Please find enclosed some hacked documentation I used when doing the
same process, hope it helps. Long time since I've done one, must test
again soon!.

ASR Networker Recovery

Prerequisites

These prerequisites are the most important stage in this process. This
process needs to be tested out on each server beforehand.

In nwadmin on podsix, make sure the client has full the DNS name for the
networker interface servername.xxx.xxx.xxx. It is important you have -s
full DNS name of server on the command line for the asr recovery disk to
work.

Run Networker user on the client or a client that is available to
connect to nsrserver

The Mac addresses also needs to be in the DNS and have DHCP enabled.

Full documentation can be found in chapter 16 Windows Administrators
guide

Start Networker User with -s machine name from shortcut.

If the server does not have a floppy disk, you need to attach a USB
floppy drive before you can restore a server.

You will need to have a Windows 2003 setup disk that contains all the
required raid/hard disk and network drivers for this process to work.

See manual for

How to Create an ASR Disk Using Directed Recovery

Using the ASR Disk to Recover a NetWorker Client

Perform an ASR Recovery

You may need to edit the file asr.sif on your floppy to include the full
DNS name of the recovery server in our case podsix. This may only be
needed if DNS entries not correct.

Edit the file

Entry is down at the bottom

See manual for the following sections.

Requirements for an ASR Recovery

Limitations and Special Considerations
