Have a look at every client record that is supposed to be in the group
and see if their aliases match the client names you are concerned about.
Also you should match the dns reverse lookups for every one of the
legitimate clients to see if any of them come back with the name of the
old clients...

Usually you will get warnings when trying to update records where client
names and aliases clash, but it is possible to end up with resources
like that if you try hard enough..   Also look for messages about dns
lookup errors in daemon.log.
