At this point, then, what the best use of this 12 Drive Jukebox that I
am paying maintenance on.

I would presume then to make a storage node to hang off of my existing
master?

   Why would you need a second master ?

   When was the last time a Networker server failed on you ? (I manage
Networker for almost 10 years now and I don't recall such an issue. I
have issues with tape drives, but not with the entire server).

   What is the damage (cost) of not having a backup amd restore services
to your organization for a day or two ? (My organization (a University)
can live for two days without backup or recovery till we will fix the
old hardware and re-install).

   My opinion is do risk management right. IMHO, there is no point in
creating a costly and complex redundancy just for the sake of being able
to backup (or restore) in the rare event (once every two years) that
your servers dies on you.
