I would drop those PIG SLOW LTO-2 drives. (Yeah kinda spoiled like
that)... But outside of that your config looks ok.

Keywords... "Redundant bandWIDTH".

Quite honestly, I am very intested in your project. Could you please
document your steps & trials and share them with me...errr, I meant to
say US, yes US. <Grin> that being said...

I would not want to do what you are doing (rebuild using same name,
etc.) my gut is telling me safety is in a new hostname.

Licensing Oy-Vey... Nightmare on EMC drive... EMC FOLKS, can you post a
reply to the list and tell us this answer? E-GOLD, if EMC doesn't pipe
up, please share the answer they give you?

Linux

Hi All,
I have a legato 7.3.2 jumbo 1 server running on win2003.

I want to migrate over to redhat 4 linux as painlessly as possible and
keep
all my configs , etc.

What is the best way to do this? Do I need to get new licenses?

I want to named the linux server with the same hostname as the windows
server so the clients dont need to be touched.

Do you think I would get better performance on linux vs windows for the
same hardware?

My server will be a new HP with 2 fast quad core cpus (total of 8
cores),
8GB RAM, 6 fiber channel LTO2 tape drives, and a quad NIC card teamed
up.

Thanks.
