[Networker] Migrating Legato from Windows 2003 to RedHat 4 Linux
2007-07-30 13:36:57
Hi All,
I have a legato 7.3.2 jumbo 1 server running on win2003.
I want to migrate over to redhat 4 linux as painlessly as possible and keep
all my configs , etc.
What is the best way to do this? Do I need to get new licenses?
I want to named the linux server with the same hostname as the windows
server so the clients dont need to be touched.
Do you think I would get better performance on linux vs windows for the
same hardware?
My server will be a new HP with 2 fast quad core cpus (total of 8 cores),
8GB RAM, 6 fiber channel LTO2 tape drives, and a quad NIC card teamed up.
Thanks.
