I have a tape volume that claims it does not expire until 8/17/43, but when I use mminfo to show me the ssretent of all the save sets on the tape, the farthest out one I can find is 01/01/08.

Can you show us the command you ran? Did you use -av? What version are
you using?

I am running 7.3.2 JumboUpdate1 Build 399. The command to find the tape was:

mminfo -q 'pool=UVM,volretent>6 months' -r volretent,volume

the command to view the tape was:

mminfo -q 'volume=UVM.4943' -r 'ssretent,client,name' | sort -t/ -k3,3nr -k1,1nr -k2,2nr | head

Has anyone seen this and if so, what am I missing?

I'm hoping there is a way to reflag this volume so it will automatically recycle in January rather than me having to remember six months from now to perform a manual recycle on the volume.

You might run 'nsrim -X' and see if it cleans anything up.

I did, it didn't do anything for this little fella.
