I think there is something seriously, wrong with your setup, the 
throughput you discribe is way below normal.
Go though your setup, MT cmd, Bigasm etc to double check your install, 
after that check and make sure drivers are correct.
If you could write with some of the native os cmd and achive much heigher 
speeds then something is incorrect withen Networker settings, if you have 
same issue ( slow write performance ) when using native os cmds, then i 
would concentrate on SAN config &\or ADIC partition setup.
I am assuming that your client & Network  are not the bottleneck & server 
performs at much heigher throughput when not using ADIC and you have 
already ruled that out.
