Hello,
When you replaced the drives.
1. Did you replace new drives of same model type ?
2. Did you redo JBCONFIG or not ?
3. Did you chose match barcode lebels ?
4. Does your Lib use virtual Serial Numbers or real, if using real serial
numbers you are better off re-runing jbconfig so that networker identifies
correct drive type and eliment numbers, refer to Tapes and inquire cmds.
Sounds like either your media dB is acting funny or your setup for Tape
lib has become unusable.
You can try nsrjb -HEvv to correct some issues, however if you already re-
labled the Tapes with new drives and it still forgets the lable then it
may not help you.
5. Can you verify if the drive Frimware is uptodate after new drives were
added.
6. Strong posibilty that drive order is incorrect, meaning Networker is
thinking he is loading Drive X while Drive Y is actually getting loaded,
this can be corrected by double checking your jbconfig.
7. Double check autoloading feature, this can cause networker to get
confused in same configurations-There is powerlink article on this.
8. Make sure your timer values are set correctly, may be networker needs
addtional time to verify tapes.
