[Networker] Tape Expiration/Retention
2007-06-02 14:38:12
Hi,
A very simple question I am sure.
I have a simple three month backup policy running over three tape sets
Set 'A'
Set 'B'
Set 'C'
So if this were Apr, then tape set 'A' would be March, 'B' April, 'C' May.
I would like to make sure that these tape sets have a two month rentention
period meaning that I can re-use tape set 'A' when i get to the end of
tape set 'C' (May's Tapes).
However my tape set 'A' seems to have a two year expiry time on them, so
the backups fail because it cannot find available media. How do I
manually set these tapes to have expired so that they can be overwritten ?
Any help would be gratefully received as I am two days into what should be
my 'A' set of tapes (but is still 'C'!)
Thanks !
