Well, I could be wrong, but my understanding is that NetWorker would
consider the dual core processors as 2 CPU's each, for a total of 4
CPU's, which would require a Tier 3 license, not a Tier 2
license.......good luck!

Subject: [Networker] exchange tier 2 license reporting "agent is not
registered properly"
Hi, I have had this problem for a few weeks now and have been unable to
get a response from emc after logging the call twice. Any ideas on how
to resolve this issue.
An exchange evaluation license was in use and the exchagne backup was
working correctly. A permanent license and auth code were installed. The
exhcange backup stopped working with error message of "agent is not
registerd properly". The exchange server has 2 processors. The
processors are dual core. The license purchased was tier 2. I have had
it confirmed from this newsgroup that a tier 2 license is sufficient for
2 processors that are dual core. The license details of our installed
license are: NETWORKER MOD FOR MS EXCG SERVER CLIENT TIER 2
The server is win2003 in 2 node MSCS running exchange.
Thanks
