In regard to: [Networker] 1 Retry Attempted .....Big savesets ran twice,...:
Also I have question about Networker 7.1.1 ÿÿ.I cannot find reason of
twice running some savesetsÿÿ..
It ran it a second time because some of your savesets failed the first
time. In the GUI, look at the Customize->Groups menu entry, and then
select the name of the group that the client is part of. You will see
that the setting for "Client retries" is set to 1. That means it will
retry (once) any savesets that fail for a backup of that group.
In index I see that volume set finnished
with flag C, but the same saveset started again. After this I see in
index two correct different savesetid for one saveset.
In messages I see 1 retry attempted.
If it's retrying the saveset, NetWorker thinks the first try failed. Are
there any lines in the savegrp email or in any of the log files that might
indicate what would have failed?
If it's a big volume and you're doing a backup that is not level=full,
then there's always the possibility that the reason the backup was retried
was that it timed out the first time. If NetWorker doesn't receive any
data from the client in a (configurable) period of time, it will time out
that saveset.
You can increase the "Inactivity timeout" by doing a Customize->Groups
in the GUI and then doing View->Details, followed by selecting the group
in question. The number is in minutes. Look at the Help->On Window for
more info.
