Recently we had a project whereby we hired EMC to come onsite to do a
software assessment to make sure Legato is "optimized".

In doing their first phase they, consolidated some of my pools down.
Here is what was done:

I had a pool called Exchange Offsite that had a policy of 7 year
retention. I did this to make sure that nothing was on the tape other
than "exchange offsite". I could then sort my volumes tab easily and
see Exchange Offsites and take them out and send them offsite. I could
also change their location as Offsite for 7 years, all very easily.

EMC got rid of my Exchange Offsite pool and put it to DAILY pool. The
Client still has the 7 year policy for Exchange, but my question is:

Will I get DAILY pool backups that have 2 week retentions, combined with
Exchange data that has 7 year? Since most of my backups are now going
to DAILY pool.

Windows 2003
Legato 7.2
