Just curious here. Is it possible to use something like nsrinfo to see
which files were backed up from an Oracle backup?
I know the saveset is always RMAN:path_2_scriptname, but ... I notice if
I run the 'nsrnmoinfo' command to see the
volume(s) for a particular Oracle backup piece (handle) it also reports
the nsavetime value. However, if I then try to run something like:
nsrinfo -s server -t nsavetime_value client
it doesn't report anything or no objects found. I even tried running
this on the NetWorker server. Still, nothing found. I tried several
nsavetime values. All report nothing found. However, this works fine
with normal (non-Oracle) backups. Is this behavior what one would
expect when dealing with Oracle backups? I know recovers have to be done
from the Oracle client side using RMAN, but was
wondering if there's a way to list out the contents of the index as far
as which actual files were saved for a particular time.
This is a nice feature with regular backups. Would be nice if you could
do this with an Oracle save set.
Thanks,
George
